The President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Dr. Daniel Okoh, has said that Nigeria needs a God-fearing President in 2023 to address the many challenges plaguing the country.

Okoh said this when he joined other clerics and supporters to mark respectively the 75th anniversary and 55th years of the evangelistic ministry of the founding pioneer and presiding bishop of Grace of God Mission International, Bishop Dr Paul C Nwachukwu tagged at church headquarters in Onitsha, Anambra state.

He said the 2023 presidential election offers the electorate the best opportunity to elect the president of their choice through the ballot box, expressing the belief that the Church has a great role to play in the emergence of the next president. .

The CAN president said the church will be able to produce the president of its choice if members can unite and forge a common front by voting overwhelmingly in next year’s elections.

The Chief Celebrant and former National Vice President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Bishop Nwachukwu noted that God’s ministers, rather than people, should play the decisive role of who becomes the President.

Bishop Nwachukwu, founder of Grace of God Mission International, said God uses his prophets to do exploits, emphasizing that people should be guided by prophetic words and directives to be properly guided in the matter of choosing their neighbor president of the country. .

According to him, the only setback towards the realization of God’s purpose to give Nigeria a true leader after His Godly heart is if some of the Churches are founded without walls.

He said the idea of ​​forming an evangelistic ministry in which trainee-missionaries will be equipped and empowered to go into the backcountry and win souls for Christ is intended to produce oaks of righteousness and soldiers of the end times.

Meanwhile, Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo congratulated Bishop Dr. Nwachukwu on his new age, describing the celebrant as one of the pillars for the development of the state.

Soludo, who was represented by his special adviser on political issues, Dr. Alex Obiogbolu, praised the celebrant who he said is a man of God who has built great leaders and represents what Christianity is all about. .

Also in his remarks, the National Vice President of the NFP in the South East Zone, Bishop Maxwell Korie, described his predecessor as the father of many Pentecostal preachers in Nigeria and outside, pointing out that the celebrant manifests virtues of nobility, the grace of God in his exemplary behavior. life and the gargantuan exploits of the kingdom.

In their remarks, the first and second sons of the celebrant, Bishop Paul Nwachukwu Jnr. of His Glory Cathedral of the Mission and Pastor Joshua Nwachukwu described their father as an apostle of the rapture and the end times who left a legacy that already lives on with present and future generations.

They noted that God not only gave them a Father who trained his children to walk in the fear of the Lord, but also used him to touch many lives.
